Margarita's Fine Art & Jewellery

Margaritas Gallery is housed in a charming C16th Venetian mansion in the Topanas district of the Old Town of Chania, Crete.

Romantic strollers are captivated by the picturesque blue chairs and table on the terrace in the depths of the gallery, and are invited in by the intoxicating aromas of jasmine and basilicum.

At a closer look, one discovers a myriad of fine art - paintings, mosaics, ceramics, and a tastefully displayed collection of hand-made jewellery.

Inside the Gallery, Margarita has a workshop devoted to the creation of icons. Interested visitors are welcome to enjoy a vivid explanation on the protocol of making a traditional Cretan School Byzantine icon using only natural materials.
